words:
Fingertips across skin, pleading eyes meeting heated ones, and then the sound of his laughter; the images were a part of him now, and as much as Cody tried to forget, to not think about him, he couldn't. That time was over, and he was gone, leaving Cody haunted, and all the miles, and all the years between them, weren't enough to trick him into forgetting. As much as he tried to compensate for the loss he felt, there was always something, some scent or sound, that reminded him that, even though he couldn't have what he wanted, he would have what he needed, even if it was just a way to pass the time. The first time he told himself it was just sex, he knew he was lying, and three years later, standing atop a wall of guilt, with clipped wings and dreams of coming to life, he wondered if he would fall before he flew.

*In Progress*

You can't please everyone, and sometimes, you just have to settle for pleasing yourself. Matt is forced to accept this one day when he has to defend the life he has recently realized he doesn't want to live without. The life that has been so carefully laid out for him for the last seventeen years is changing, and Matt decides that it must be changing for the better if it includes Jacob, even if along with Jacob comes some hard decisions and some fights he didn't know he was quite ready to fight.

almost home
There was nothing Bryson and James wanted more than to get away from the stress of college, and once Bryson had convinced him, James was sure that this ski trip was the perfect way to do just that. Their week together in the snow would turn out to be something James would never forget, or the test that interrupted it, and the phone call he gets that night when Bryson was almost home.

vegas sun
No mistakes, no apologies. Cody never makes either, well, not usually. He doesn't have much, but he has his pride, and on some nights, that's all he has to go home with. Vegas, with all of its neon lights and magnificent buildings, has a way of coloring reality, and if there's one thing Cody has learned since he arrived in Vegas, it's that some things just aren't what they seem. Some people call it luck others, fate, but Cody was sure that whatever it was called, it was with him that night he met Officer Harrison, whether he wanted it to be or not.

my frailty
A poem which, in ways, is very personal. After going back and forth about posting it, I decided I would.
